Intermediate string players learn to work together as a team, follow a conductor and refine their ensemble skills in intonation, phrasing, balance and blend. This non-auditioned group requires some mastery of their string instrument and most have been playing for more than 2 years.

Students are responsible for bringing their own instruments and accessories to every session. Sectionals involve students meeting together as instrument groups and receiving instruction in technique and theory on Mondays. Thursdays all of the players are brought together and taught ensemble performance skills . Students present one concert in December and one in April.
