Julianne Anderson – Secretary

Julianne Anderson is wife and mom to 5 children, all of whom have participated in the TVYS programs. Her husband is Zachary Anderson, the current Associate Director of TVYS. Their family moved to Stansbury Park in 2020. In April 2020 she received her associates degree in graphic design. She plays piano, organ, and guitar. Her family musical instrument talents include piano, guitar, percussion, violin, cello, bass guitar, and ukulele. In addition to her work with TVYS, she enjoys crocheting, attending the Stansbury Park Daughters of the Utah Pioneer meetings, and coaching color guard at Stansbury High School.

Karen Hunter – Financial Officer

Karen was born and raised in the very small town of Clover, Utah. She went to work at Dugway Proving Ground upon graduation from high school taking Correspondence Accounting courses from BYU. When she met and married Gary Hunter from Tooele, they compromised and bought a home in Stockton where she quit work to begin a family. She had her own accounting business, but soon decided working for the government provided more stability. She was very blessed in that she was able to work part-time outside of the home while helping to raise their four incredible children for the 27 years. She started at Tooele Army Depot and later transferred to Deseret Chemical Depot where she worked in the administrative area of CAMDS.  As CAMDS came to a close in 2007 there were no part time positions available so she returned to full time back at Tooele Army Depot to complete her career retiring in 2015 with 37 years of service.

Karen loves the active life of riding ATVs, geocaching, horseback riding (until she got an ATV), remodeling projects, family, and travel. She has a powered parachute she wants to learn to fly, but has yet to do so (she better hurry!).

Her children were always involved in extracurricular activities and she credits those activities to why her children reached their potential in adulthood. Tooele Valley Youth Symphony is one of those extracurricular activities that helps youth find their potential and she is happy to contribute to help make it successful.
